To celebrate the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games the Royal Australian Mint through Woolworths has released three themed coloured $2 coins featuring designs inspired by the Games and the dynamic Gold Coast Landscape. The coins will available from Woolworths supermarkets and metro stores nationwide from 14 March for a 4 week period or while stocks last.
There is also a 2018 7 Coin Collection available which includes the three $2 coins as well as four $1 commemorative coins featuring energetic figures that depict each of the sports and para-sports that will be contested at the Games - available only in collection folder.
The Woolworths release dates for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games coloured $2 coins are detailed below:
Week 1: Wednesday 14 March 2018 – Commonwealth Games emblem
Week 2: Wednesday 21 March 2018 – Commonwealth Games mascot ‘Borobi’
Week 3 and 4: Wednesday 28 March 2018 – Australian Team logo
